Far Cry & Painkiller

Far Cry

Vendor: UBI Soft - (Website)
API: DirectX 9.0
Pixel Shader Version Supported: Mix PS1.1, PS1.4, PS2.0 with PS2.0 forced

Far Cry

It's only games such as Far Cry, run at maximum in-game settings and with AA and AF, that can trouble any of our quartet at 1600x1200. Suffice to say, the game looks amazing at such a setting. ATI's cards have the upper hand here.

Painkiller

Vendor: People Can Fly - (Website)
API: DX9.0
Pixel Shader Version Supported: Mix, unknown versions

Painkiller

Painkiller's so limited by the subsystem that all cards produce similar results. There's a tip for you, that is, to get the most out of 6800-series or X800-series hardware one should also invest in a powerful CPU.
