Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory performance
Somewhat surprisingly, the Radeon X1950 XTX is able to outrun all GeForce 8800 GTS cards in the Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory test. It's heavy on shaders, which, really, is the G80's speciality.
Adding in HDR to the mix evens out the playing field between all sub-£275 graphics cards. Again, and it's worth noting, having only half the framebuffer as a full GeForce 8800 GTS doesn't impact on performance to any large degree, in this game at least.
