Racing games can offer dazzling visuals when delivered at buttery-smooth framerates. Grid Autosport is a prime example and is benchmarked with maximum quality settings plus 8xMSAA at 1080p and 2xMSAA at 4K.
Could this be the first inkling that more onboard memory is beneficial? Perhaps not, because we believe the 1080p result, which is higher than the reference cards and 4GB-equipped Vapor-X, is an outlier. Regular formation is resumed at 4K.
We've learned thus far that the increased memory makes no real difference in games, and the GTX 970 OC and GTX 980 OC cards from Nvidia are faster.
