BioShock Infinite
BioShock is fantastically playable and looks great on the PC. We benchmark a 60-second section near the start with all available eye-candy turned on.
Faster clock speeds are telling in synthetic benchmarks such as 3DMark, but the in-game performance advantage isn't always as clear cut. The factory-overclocked GTX 980s from Asus and Gigabyte deliver identical results in BioShock Infinite at a standard 1080p resolution.
There's not much in it at 4K, either, though there is a reasonable gap between Asus's GTX 970 and 980 Strix models. The latter delivers a 17 per cent increase in average frames per second at this demanding resolution, though you'll have to be the judge: is such an improvement worth the Ā£200 premium?
