Overclocking
Overclocking mileage will always vary from one sample to another, and ours was undertaken by increasing the core and memory clock without touching the voltage. Nominally running at 1,347MHz core, indicating decent headroom, the sample card boosted consistently to 1,460MHz. Memory, meanwhile, ran at an effective 7,652MHz.
A 14 per cent higher score is nothing to sniff at in return for a moment or two spent overclocking.
We're surprised to see just how effective overclocking is. A 20 per cent rise in frequencies correlates to perfect scaling in Total War: Rome II.
