1080p performance is evaluated at Extreme settings. Rome II separates the wheat from the chaff, so while the Radeon R9 290X dukes it out against the GTX 780 Ti, the Maxwell-powered GTX 980 reigns supreme.
Having a 75fps average ensures the majority of frames are rendered within 17ms, you would surmise. GTX 980 has almost twice the number of sub-17ms frames as the GTX 780.
If you lead in the second chart chances are you will do so in the third. And so it proves for the GTX 980.
