Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory v1.05

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory's engine has always run extremely well on ATI hardware. The ASUS EN8800GTX card manages to squeak out a small lead but it's not the kind of outperforming our previous two games have shown.

HDR

Add in some lovely-looking HDR into the mix and the G80 stretches its ALUs and runs away with it.

For further gaming benchmarks using a number of shader-heavy titles, head on over to our architecture look.

Overclocking

We attempted to overclock the sample card and, seemingly, managed a steady speed of 625MHz base core clock and 1900MHz memory. We've not published any benchmarks due to the card failing after a few tests. Returning the clocks back to default didn't eradicate the memory-related artificats present when failing the overclocking tests. We'll be taking this issue up with ASUS.
