Overclocking
With our sample fighting to stay calm and collected at its shipping frequencies, we didn't envisage a great amount of overclocking headroom. That said, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Devil 13 managing to run with the core bumped up to 1,075MHz and the memory at an effective 5,800MHz.
With the overclock in place, synthetic 3DMark performance is increased by up to 6 per cent.
We see an even greater 7.5 per cent performance increase in Far Cry 3, but if our own experience is anything to go by, you probably won't want to spend a great amount of time pushing the Devil 13 further. In this scenario, power consumption soared to 802 watts, temperatures shot up quickly, and it wasn't long before the card automatically dialled down the speed meter for the sake of its own health.
