Open-world gaming at its very best, Far Cry 3 redefines the genre through breathtaking visuals and first-class gameplay.

More massive numbers for the gaming goliath. We're looking at almost-perfect scaling from a Radeon R9 290X. Nothing else comes close.

Far Cry 3 performance is pretty consistent across cards: all can produce a decent number of sub-33ms frames. The Vesuvius card very rarely gets tripped up here.

Only 1 per cent of frames take longer than 32.2ms on the R9 295X2. Notice how, again, the other two dual-GPU cards are bottom in this examination, even though they take second and third places in the average framerate chart? Their good frames are good but their bad frames are far worse than single-GPU cards, explaining our general dislike of dual-GPU cards for gaming.

Radeon R9 295X2 is, quite easily, the fastest card here. Sheer straight-line speed is reinforced by single-GPU-like frame consistency.
