Benchmarks: Far Cry & Quake 4
Far Cry
The three cards with a 128-bit memory bus make their way through Far Cry at quite a canter, while the 64-bit 7300 GS struggles. As far as the two X1300 XTs are concerned, the model with the faster core clock wins... who'd of thunk it!? The faster GDDR3 also gives them a performance advantage over our GeForce 7300 GT, which only has DDR2 memory onboard.
At 1280x1024, the performance gap between the two X1300 XTs is less than 2%. These two cards go from being over 8% quicker than the 7300 GT to over 33% quicker. Cheers then! The 7300 GS is... well... slow in comparison.
Quake 4
The core clock difference between the GeCube and Sapphire cards is of little consequence in our Quake 4 benchmark. They do maintain a lead over the the GeForce 7300 GT, however.
Increasing the resolution makes the clock different count only a little more. Once again, the gap between the two Radeons and the GeForce cards increases at this higher resolution.
