Things get really interesting with Splinter Cell.

Results

While SLI takes an 18% performance hit without a bridge, it seems either dongled CrossFire doesn't perform as well as it should, or losing the dongle doesn't impact game performance much.

Results

The performance gap tightens with HDR enabled, but the overall shape of the graph remains the same, with CrossFire's mysterious performance indifference.

Results

Upping the ante hits the FPS, but the outcome in terms of performance positioning remains the same, just as one might anticipate.

Results

Same story with HDR on, although note how close CrossFire performance is to that of the 7950 GX2, NVIDIA's card soldiering through HDR rather nicely. X1950 XTX is up there with the multi-GPU solutions too... something worth noting!

Some interesting results, then. They provide us what we expected to see and also what we didn't quite expect. Beard-stroking time...
