There's yet more life in the Maxwell GPU. Palit's frequencies are already impressive, granted, but the GPU runs even faster without touching the voltage. We managed to get the sample card up to 1,277MHz core (rising to a staggering 1,420MHz under GPU Boost 2.0) and memory humming along at an effective 6,708MHz.

Now we're running at over 20 per cent faster than default. System-wide power consumption rises to 127W, and noise goes up a fraction, to 38.5db.
