FutureMark 3DMark2001SE

With 3DMark 2001SE a more traditional render test, compared to newer shader heavy DX9 titles, it's always a surprise to see 9800 beat FX 59xx in this test, given FX59xx's MHz and bandwidth advantanges. A plus for the Radeon's with the ASUS board a solitary mark away from breaking 19000 (20000 would be possible on a 3.2EE or FX-51 based system).

Both architectures are more than a match for DX8 titles, the Radeon presses home an advantage in this particular test.

Performance at 1024x768 with 8xAF and 4xAA is especially pleasing. Both sets of cards have plenty of performance headroom when running a render test like 3DMark 2001SE, even with IQ options applied.
