Temperature | To emulate real-world usage scenarios, we record GPU core temperature both when idle and while playing Far Cry 3 | |
Noise | A PCE-318 meter is used to record noise levels when idle and while playing Far Cry 3 |
Notes
The maximum GPU Boost 2.0 speeds tend to be rather conservative. Review cards have historically run faster than the quoted figures in each of our games. Here's the peak frequencies for the EVGA GTX 780 Ti SC ACX in each of our games.
Battlefield 4 | BioShock | Crysis 3 | Far Cry 3 | GRID 2 | Just Cause 2 | Rome: Total War 2 |

1,136.7MHz | 1,136.7MHz | 1,150.1MHz | 1,136.7MHz | 1,150.1MHz | 1,150.1MHz | 1,150.1MHz |
The sample card certainly isn't shy in letting the frequency ramp up when gaming. Let's not forget this is a 2,880-shader GPU running at up to 1.15GHz - potentially putting out 6.62TFLOPs of perf.
