X2: The Threat
Another new benchmark to hit the HEXUS suite is X2: The Threat: Rolling Demo. Another fantastic-looking benchmark that's part of a real games engine. It's quite sensitive to the subsystem and scales well with faster CPUs. We're testing with a top-of-the-line 3.2GHz P4.
Interestingly, the benchmark ran smoother on ATi cards than their NVIDIA counterparts. The FX 5600 series appeared to stutter at times.
Another case of ATi smoothness. The 45.23s don't appear to be particularly partial to it.
The 9800 PRO walks away with this one. All other cards are bunched in close proximity to one another.
