Amazing graphics and buttery-smooth gameplay makes GRID 2 one of the best racers around.
Here's an interesting one. The R9 290 runs at a faster core speed than the standard-mode R9 290X. This has the effect of making the two cards benchmark at the same level, though the uber mode for the 290X opens up a performance lead at 2,560x1,440.
But AMD's competition isn't its own headline card. Rather, it's the GeForce GTX 780, and the Radeon R9 290 gives as good as it gets from a card that, currently, is a little more expensive.
