Discrete vs. Integrated in real-world games
All four discrete cards produce acceptable performance at a Full-HD resolution imbued with medium-quality settings. The new GT 640 is only a little faster than the card it's destined to replace; we've previously illustrated that the leaner architecture foregoes pixel-fillrate goodness in favour of memory bandwidth and computational throughput. Just how those two opposing performance metrics play out is dependent on what the game engine is more partial to.
