Open-world gaming at its very best, Far Cry 3 redefines the genre through breathtaking visuals and first-class gameplay.
That's interesting, why has KFA2's card fallen off the pace, albeit slightly, in Far Cry 3? Closer examination revealed that the card ran particularly warm in this demanding title, and developed a tendency to reach a thermal threshold that would limit the GPU Boost potential.
We found that the GTX 770 LTD OC would run at 1,306MHz most of the time, but if it gets hot and bothered - as it did in this case - the frequency can drop and impact overall performance. Our logs reveal that the card throttled back to 1,254MHz in this benchmark.
