Overclocked GTX 780? Check. Substantially higher power consumption than the reference card? Check. 311W system-wide power-draw is about normal for a partner OC model.
That huge cooler-and-fan assembly does the best job at keeping the 2,304-core GK110 die relatively cool.
It's pleasing to see that Asus' engineers have managed to construct a high-performance cooler that's efficient and quiet. Top marks to the DirectCU II OC in this section.
