Testing notes
We've already looked at the Gigabyte card and noted that it GPU Boosts rather impressively, clocking up to, on average, 1,228MHz. This is way beyond the 1,150MHz quoted on the official specification.
The Palit, meanwhile, is rock-steady at 1,202MHz in all titles, which, again, is fundamentally higher than the average 1,137MHz stipulated by Palit. Compare this with the average 1,060MHz for the reference card and you'll soon see why both aftermarket cards beat up on it in the benchmarks.
