This benchmark comes last because it serves no real purpose. Honestly. Oh, sorry, it's nice for showing how to rape your cards performance in a non-real world fashion. But I'd run a load of numbers for the 256MB Radeon 9800 Pro article so I thought I'd use them here too, just for kicks. Base first.




Higher available memory bandwidth means the 5600 Ultra wins the battle of the 4x1's. IQ on!




Wahey, the NVIDIA card even keeps pace with the 9700 Pro. In the real world? I think not. So let's really destroy all semblance of a meaningful comparison by upping the resolution.




Ouch. Let's check out the performance drop graph to see if anything funny is going on.




It's that crazy looking NVIDIA set of results again. I blame the benchmark this time. 9600 Pro is much more consistent however with it's ~50% drop each time, exactly what we've come to expect.

So, can we wrap this all up into a meaningful conclusion after all those graphs? I hope so, my head hurts.
