Review: ATI Radeon 9600 Pro

This benchmark is a custom max detail run of the Antalus flyby, cooked up for a look at the 256MB version of Radeon 9800 Pro. It's a good fit for any graphics card review however so I've used it here too. Here's the 1024x768 base.

The same pattern we saw with Quake 3, lets put it down to the extra memory bandwidth FX5600 Ultra enjoys. What about with IQ features on.

Roughly half the performance gone each time for the two competing cards and the expected strong performance from 9700 Pro at the top of the chart. Will we see the same thing when we bump the resolution.

Roughly even in terms of the performance decrease with IQ on, but with 9600 Pro doing better than FX5600 Ultra in this test as we then increased the resolution.
