Making a really good case for game of the year already, BioShock is fantastically playable and looks great on the PC. We benchmark a 40-second section near the start.

The performance gap isn't as large as that seen in 3DMark. GTX 780 beats up on GTX 680 by some 20 per cent. It puts even less into the Radeon HD 7970 GHz.

We can also look at the per-second frame-rates and see if performance remains smooth. The game feels just a little sticky on the GTX 680 at 2,560x1,600.
