Comanche 4 makes judicious use of vertex and pixel shading to create realistic-looking effects. With the massive polygon requirement, the test is subsystem limited on high-end cards, even with a 3.0GHz C CPU.
The subsystem limitations are all to apparent up to 1600x1200. The huge throughput power of these cards is only taxed at the highest resolution. We'll ensure that changes as we look at performance with AA and AF employed.
