3DMark 2001SE

Next up is 3DMark 2001SE v330. You know how it works by now.

The subsystem plays a huge role at 1024x768. However, the FX5900 Ultra does well in the nature test, one that is predominantly GPU-limited.

The subsystem is still playing a role, but the card's fillrate begins to take over. The FX5900 Ultra manages to just eclipse the Radeon 9800 Pro. The FX5800 Ultra (NV30) seems to benefit significantly from the newer drivers.

The more the test becomes card limited, the better the 5900 Ultra gets. The massive bandwidth advantage that it has over its predecessor pays some sort of dividends, although we were hoping for a little extra performance.
