Benchmarks AMD - 3DMark 2001 SE

3D Mark, the classic graphics benchmark showed that the GF FX performed better than the Radeon although not by much. Across screen resolutions tested the GF FX demonstrated a 1.2% improvement beating the Radeon in most of the tests, but only just.

Image quality appeared to be better than the Radeon throughout 3D Mark. Every time we review a new graphics card it never ceases to amaze us how the cards score highly in one 3D Mark test and yet poorly in another and at this point we'd like to point out that the 3DMark 2003 is on its way which should give a more definitive idea of how the GeForce FX will perform under DirectX 9, and maybe, with that verion results across the 3DMark suite of tests will be more more consistent.. This test was no exception. The GF FX produced scores of 135 in the nature test, well ahead of the Radeon, but it fell well behind on Dragon Gothic.
