Benchmarks I - Synthetic
Lets start with the synthetic benchmarks, one DirectX based and the other OpenGL based.
To begin we have 3DMark 2001SE. Due to the addition of the Xabres Vertex Shader and improved core and memory speeds we should see a significant difference.
On the default 3DMark test we see an improvement of over 20% which is certainly the kind of significant improvement we were expecting. I imagine we might have seen even better results had we been able to compare to higher resolutions!
Next on to Vulpine GLMark.
As having no point of reference to compare to I can’t say whether these results are good or bad, but from just looking at them over 30 FPS at 1600*1200 doesn’t sound bad at all!
