With a low-ish ALU:TEX ratio, X700 PRO has a healthy lead over X1300 PRO and it's obvious at this point that you wouldn't consider a move to X1300 PRO for the performance. X1600 XT has no issue dispatching them both.

Splinter Cell: CT

SC:CT, despite being the oldest test used in this article, is shader-heavy, much like F.E.A.R. Expect F.E.A.R.-like performance.

At the playable resolutions, X1600 XT goes quicker with AA and AF on than X700 PRO does without. X1300 PRO performance is very strong in SC:CT in comparison, when AA and AF are applied. Its performance hit when doing so, relative to that which exists in RV410 and X700 PRO, is mostly down to the configuration of the memory controller and efficiency gains found in that area.
