Praised both by critics and gamers, the latest instalment of the Total War series takes strategy enthusiasts back to 16th-century Japan and presents a lavish blend of 3D real-time battles and turn-based management.
The EVGA takes top place, just, at both single- and three-screen gaming. 5,760x1,080-pixel rendering ain't a pretty sight at Ultra quality levels.
The EVGA Classified 4GB does appear to be smoother in the middle part of the test; its framerate is locked at 19fps.
Producing sub-33ms frames seven per cent of the time and barely spitting out any sub-20ms frames, the game's settings need to be readjusted if running on three screens. Contrary to the suggestion that a larger framebuffer helps, the game uses a maximum 1,617MB of video-card memory.
