Battlefield 3 is one of the most popular PC games of the last year and features breathtaking visuals and an absorbing multiplayer component.
Our particular BF3 benchmark takes place when stomping around an outdoor section for 90 seconds and FRAPSing the ensuing firefight. GeForce GTX 670 is better than Radeon HD 7950 in this test. No card produces acceptable average framerates with our Ultra quality settings at the three-screen test. Note that GTX 670 loses a greater percentage of its 1,920x1,080 performance as we move up the resolution scale. In other words, the Radeons come back into the mix once memory bandwidth becomes key.
There's not a whole heap of performance deviation here. The GTX 670 OC card remains about 20 per cent faster than the MSI TF3.
