Everything is CPU limited with IQ enhancements off, the X1800 XT and GTX trading blows until 1920x1200 when the XT is faster by nearly 18%. The GTX and X1800 XT are dominated from 1280x1024 onwards by the GTX 512, by over 40% at 1600x1200. The clock scaling and memory size both help here, especially at the highest resolution setting.

Best playable for the GTX 512 is an SLI-esque 1920x1200 with 4xAA and 16xAF, HDR on (or 1600x1200 with 4xAA+TSAA). Best playable for the GTX is 1280x1024 with 4xAA+TSAA, 16xAF, HDR. Best for the X1800 XT is 1280x1024 with 4xAAA, 16xAF, HDR.
