Power Consumption To emulate real-world usage scenarios, we record mains power draw both when idle and whilst playing Crysis 2
Temperature To emulate real-world usage scenarios, we record GPU core temperature both when idle and whilst playing Crysis 2
Noise A PCE-318 meter is used to record noise levels when idle and whilst playing Crysis 2
Overclocking Pushing the graphics card as far as it will go, we increase speeds and re-run the Aliens vs. Predator benchmark

Notes

We could have spent time showing you the marginal performance gains of this MSI card when compared to others on our mid-range platform. But we've decided to take a different tack here by benchmarking the card at the high-end settings. Sounds unfair to compare a £130 card against established high-end competition often costing 3x more, right? That's why we've added a second card and run the MSI in CrossFire mode, to see if £260 worth of Radeon HD 7770 OC power can make a compelling case for purchase.

We've used the latest Catalyst application profiles (12.1 CAP3), too.
