Just Cause 2

Switching over to the second BIOS that avails 1,536 shaders, we pumped up the core voltage from the default 1.175V to 1.225V via Sapphire's TriXX software. Keeping the Radeon HD 6970-like architecture active, a final speed of 950MHz core and 5,600MHz memory was achieved.

Aliens vs. Predator and Just Cause 2 were re-run at the 2,560x1,600 setting.

The 'OC' card uses more shaders and higher clocks than the as-shipped version, and this is why performance jumps handily. Really, the 'OC' card is an overclocked Radeon HD 6970 in all but name.
