Overclocking
We know that the GTX 580 has some overclocking headroom, and by upping the HAWK Edition card's voltage from 1.00V to 1.05V, we are able to reach a stable speed of 885MHz on the core and an effective 4,500MHz for the 3GB of GDDR5 memory.
That's a speed increase of 15 per cent and 12 per cent, respectively, and the gains are enough to help Inno3D's HAWK Edition surpass the factory-overclocked Gigabyte GTX 580 SOC in a re-run of benchmarks.
