NVIDIA claims an average TDP of 365W. AMD publishes 375W for the basic HD 6990 and 450W for the OC-enabled card.
Just Cause 2 provides an excellent, consistent method by which to determine in-game load. Going by those numbers, which are on the high side for our games, the GTX 590 pulls almost as much as a Radeon HD 6990 OC.
