A synthetic benchmark that everyone can run. 3DMark Vantage is configured to run at its 'high' preset and we note the overall system score, GPU score as well as Test 4, which includes extensive use of the GPU's stream-out function and vertex and geometry shading ability.
Starting with a synthetic benchmark, 3DMark Vantage suggests that the 6870 TOXIC is quick, but not quite rapid enough to challenge NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 560 Ti. This is a benchmark that fares well with NVIDIA 5-Series GPUs, though, so will the synthetic numbers reflect performance in actual games?
