Power consumption
The numbers, below, refer to total system power-draw, provided by an at-wall watt meter, when the test machine is idling, running Call of Duty: Black Ops, and, lastly, taxed by running GPU-bustin' FurMark.
KFA2's regular GTX 460 1GB card is relatively power inefficient compared to the reference design, and this is why the Razor beats it in both the Call of Duty and FurMark tests, to the tune of 30-40W.
While the Razor is undoubtedly an improvement over the standard KFA2 card, AMD's GPUs are still better with respect to power-draw. For example, the more-powerful Radeon HD 6950 pulls an equivalent number of watts but produces higher frame-rates.
