Making an appearance when evaluating new architectures, we run the 'high' preset and note the GPU score as well as Test 4, which includes extensive use of the GPU's stream-out function and vertex and geometry shading ability.
3DMark Vantage paints an interesting picture. The two new Radeons sandwich the HD 5850 in the overall and GPU tests, and both beat it in the feature test. This is impressive considering that both the HD 6850 and HD 6870 will arrive to market with a lower street price than the long-in-the-tooth HD 5850.
