Power consumption, temps and noise
Decent temps and power-draw stats affirm the GT 430's positioning as a GPU designed to appeal to folk who are looking for a cheap add-in card, mainly to boost performance over integrated graphics that ship with many low-to-mid-range systems.
Noise
In our testing, the tiny heatsink fan never spins fast enough to become annoying. It's noticeable if you're listening out for it, sure, yet its inclusion shouldn't be a huge deal-breaker unless a near-silent PC is important to you. We're adamant that a number of NVIDIA's partners will release passively-cooled GT 430s, and this is one area where ASUS does miss a trick.
