Call of Duty: MW2 and Crysis Warhead

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has established itself as one of the most popular titles in recent history. The game is set to medium detail and a 30-second section is FRAPS'd while we frag a whole load of enemies.

Call of Duty: MW2 runs very smoothly on genuinely mid-range cards - a GTX 460 averages over 100fps at a 1,680x1,050 resolution. The snips to the architecture and speeds mean that the GT 430 performs at about half the speed of a GTS 450 card, which is good enough at 1,280x1,024 but makes the game rather jerky at 1,680x1,050.

In turn, it's around 2x the speed of the previous generation Radeon HD 4550.

Crysis Warhead

The one game that brings all GPUs to their knees, Crysis is set to mainstream quality and benchmarked through the Frost map.

We're looking at half the GTS 450's performance here, too.
