The new cooler does a very good job at keeping the two GPUs cool...without causing a racket.

Often overlooked, idle power-draw is important. Here, NVIDIA's best card has a significant lead over ATI's, to the tune of 55W over a system-wide evaluation. That's around £15 per year in electricity costs, based on a 40-hour week. Load power numbers are closer.
