Introduction
Another week and another AMD launch. This time around the graphics arm, ATI, takes centre stage and releases a mid-range graphics card set to compete at the crucial $99 (£85) sector.
The new Radeon HD 4770, whose architecture is entrenched in R4K roots, uses two weapons to raise the performance-per-dollar metric: a 40nm manafacturing process and GDDR5 memory on a sub-£90 card.
Potentially high on performance and low on cost, let's see if it can shake up the incumbent mid-range GPUs from both ATI and NVIDIA.
