Far Cry 2
Due to time constraints, we were unable to obtain Far Cry 2 figures for the GeForce GTX 260 - however, that's of little relevance as we're most interested in how the two Radeons compare, so let's continue.
Far Cry 2 (high-end) 1,680x1,050 4xAA MaxAF | ||
---|---|---|
Sapphire HD 4870 X2 ATOMIC | Inno3D GeForce GTX 280 | Sapphire HD 4870 X2 |
79.51 | 70.04 | 77.56 |
Far Cry 2 (high-end) 1,920x1,200 4xAA MaxAF | ||
---|---|---|
Sapphire HD 4870 X2 ATOMIC | Inno3D GeForce GTX 280 | Sapphire HD 4870 X2 |
76.78 | 61.28 | 74.5 |
Far Cry 2 (high-end) 2,560x1,600 4xAA MaxAF | ||
---|---|---|
Sapphire HD 4870 X2 ATOMIC | Inno3D GeForce GTX 280 | Sapphire HD 4870 X2 |
58.59 | 42.38 | 56.15 |
Once again, the ATOMIC edition is able to edge out the previous single-card champ due to its higher out-the-box core and memory frequencies.
Worth noting, too, that very decent scaling delivers near-60fps in the brand-new Far Cry 2 at 2,560x1,600 with ultra-high settings. But would you expect anything less?
