Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts

Performance in Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts is practically on a par with the also-pre-overclocked EVGA card which ships, well, at similar clocks. Gameplay is smooth at 1,920x1,200 and also playable at 2,560x1,600 using our high-quality settings.

A stock-clocked GeForce GTX 280 fares around 10 per cent better at the highest resolution but all are put in the shade by the power of the Radeon HD 4870 X2.

Incidentally, the grey-coloured bar for the Force3D Radeon HD 4870 is due to a larger-than-expected variance - above five per cent over three runs - at 2,560x1,600.
