Rendered at QHD or UHD resolutions and making use of DX12 technologies such as asynchronous compute, explicit multi-adapter and multi-threading, Time Spy is a modern 3DMark benchmark that hints at GPU potential in today's latest games.

Run in the preferred Quiet Mode, the Asus/Noctua card is a hair slower than a Founders Edition touting the same GPU.

There are myriad reasons for this, including newer drivers, updates to the operating system and games, but the most telling is the peak speed achieved by the review card.

Oscillating between 1,950MHz and 1,965MHz under full load, it's not the fastest RTX 3070 available. That's not the point.

Appreciating the hulking cooler, we're surprised to see the Stress Test score in the lower echelons of all tested cards.
