Power, Temperature and Noise

There's a surprise. We must have landed a particularly good MSI review sample, as while the card typically boosts a little higher than the Founders Edition, system-wide power consumption is in fact a fraction lower. Still thirsty in comparison to a regular RTX 3070, mind, and a good 15 per cent more than Radeon RX 6800.

These are the graphs where MSI's Suprim X cooler can prove its worth. 68°C under load is an excellent return and 15 per cent cooler than the Founders Edition.

We weren't kidding when we said the MSI runs almost inaudibly at all times. Silent at idle and only barely noticeable when gaming, it sets a new standard for quiet high-end graphics cards. Top marks here.
