Relative Performance, Bang4Buck, Bang4Watt

Looking at the relative 4K performance of each card and normalising numbers to the fastest card around right now, GeForce RTX 3090, across seven rasterisation titles, gives greater insight into how all models really stack up.

Our numbers confirm RTX 3060 Ti is a bit faster than RTX 2080 Super. It's also significantly speedier than current rival Radeon RX 5700/XT and is therefore positioned well by Nvidia. The very fact that it's not too far off the £1,000-plus RTX 2080 Ti speaks volumes in a different way.

Marry excellent QHD performance to a $399/£369 price tag and you understand why it leaps to the top of the relative value chart. Has Nvidia priced it too low appreciating the general stock shortages around?

And while it only snips 20W off the RTX 3070's TDP, the latest Ampere is also very good in the efficiency department.
