The Force3D Radeon HD 4870 running Catalyst 8.7 gives the same performance as the Sapphire HD 4870 running Catalyst 8.6.

Whilst the more expensive XFX GeForce GTX 260 is able to better the ATI cards, the Radeon HD 4870 512MB provides a smooth experience at all resolutions, including 2,560x1,600.
