Leadtek PX7800 GTX TDH MyVIVO bundle
Leadtek's packaging is a little flashier than BFG's but not as large. All the pertinent information is contained on the cover, making it easy for potential buyers in retail outlets to see exactly where their hard-earned cash is going.
The back of the box has the same speed graphic (41x faster than integrated graphics) that NVIDIA seems keen to promote. Leadtek pulls no punches and lists the its 7800 GTX's core speed at the default 430MHz. No mention is made of memory speed, however.
The WinFast 7800 GTX TDH may be aimed at the enthusiast that wants GTX performance and change from Ā£400, but it still contains a healthy overall bundle. Kicking off the goodness is a copy of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, which is recent gaming title that runs oh-so smoothly on G70 hardware. Top marks to Leadtek for not skimping out here. Common to a wide range of Leadtek cards is a copy of Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within, another Ubisoft title that's quite reasonable.
Leadtek's driver CD also contained NVIDIA's 77.50 driver set and a whole host of utilities that included the company's WinFox tweaking software. Speed Runner is the app. most enthusiasts will gravitate towards. A collection of regular Leadtek utilities, such as WinFast PVR and MuVee3 round off the disc. ULEAD's Video Studio 8 SE is one iteration newer than the video-editing software carried by BFG's bundle, and ULEAD's Movie Factory 3SE and COOL 3D goes further than BFG's. A 45-page manual does a decent job of highlighting the card's features and general usage, and CyberLink's PowerDVD 6 is a welcome inclusion.
Leadtek bundles in component/S-Video-In/Out cables into a single bunch. Our only reservation here is that the cabling is no more than 6-inches long, so you'll most likely need to invest in some extension cabling. 2 DVI dongles and a 6-pin PCIe power extender round off a decent bundle.
