3DMark Time Spy

Rendered at QHD or UHD resolutions and making use of DX12 technologies such as asynchronous compute, explicit multi-adapter and multi-threading, Time Spy is a modern 3DMark benchmark that hints at GPU potential in today's latest games.

We're off and running, and straight away, the goodness of the RDNA architecture can be felt in the 3DMark Time Spy test. RX 5700 is some 9 per cent quicker than previous-generation RX Vega 64, while RX 5700 XT shows almost a 21 per cent improvement.

Not bad going, and by all accounts, exactly what AMD set out to achieve. Those pesky new RTX Super cards have dampened the mood, however, as both new Radeons are out-gunned by the $399 GeForce RTX 2060 Super.
